Daniel Johnstone is an Investment Advisor at Investment Planning Counsel and works with our National Accounts Desk to help support our clients across Canada.

Dan is deeply passionate about helping educate and empower his clients so they have the right financial advice to live their dreams. His years of experience, combined with having obtained designations as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), ensure that Dan’s clients have a reliable partner who brings an integrated approach to the development of their financial plan.

Dan started his career as a research scientist and has published work about medical diagnostics. He lived in Costa Rica for a year teaching ESL before he returned to Canada and joined the IPC team. In his leisure time, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also likes to camp, fish and portage in Algonquin Park.

With over 8 years in the Financial Services and Insurance Industry, Joanne brings her experience along with her passion and dedication for client experience to our team. She enjoys building client relationships and is passionate about assisting in planning for retirement goals, income and family protection.
Joanne enjoys spending her free time with her husband of 13 years and 3 beautiful children. She is an avid soccer player and you can find her on the pitch a few times a week.

As a Client Experience Specialist, Santiago enjoys interacting with our clients and effectively supporting his advisor in an administrative capacity to help the clients achieve their financial goals. He enjoys all aspects of personal finance and aspires to eventually become an Advisor.

Santiago is fluent in English, Spanish and French. When he is not in the office, he is training in martial arts including Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Boxing.
